PSALM 62
5. My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him.
6. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense and my fortress; I shall not be moved.
7. With God rests my salvation and my glory; my rock of unyielding strength and impenetrable hardness, and my refuge is in God!
8. Trust, lean on, rely on and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us—a fortress and a high tower. Selah (pause and calmly think of that)! Amp. C.
This is a Psalm of David. I believe that the Lord had his life planned out. All the trials and things he went through were orchestrated by the Lord to help him rely solely on the Lord. It taught him faith in a beautiful way. Then David in return became the king Israel needed him to be.
If we do not allow the Lord to bring the trials in our life and submit to them, we end up like Saul. Saul did not trust in God but in his own strength which was not enough. You cannot be a leader until you learn how to be a follower. We must learn. We are not born with that knowledge.
David is telling others to trust in the Lord. He is telling them to pour out their heart to Him. Just how do we pour out our heart to him. We must see out heart as a bag of joy and pain. Some things need to go and some things we need to keep.
If we just talk them all over with the Lord, He will give us the right words that will teach us about ourselves. Then we know how to pray and ask for what we need. The Lord does the work. We just do the asking. But we never forget those wonderful conversations.
We learn so much. But most of all we learn about the Lord. We learn how much He loves us. We learn how gentle He is. We learn His ways. Then we are able to be gentle and loving to others like Him. That is what made David different than Saul.
David learned how to handle problems the way the Lord would. That is a special thing to learn. The one thing I love most about the Lord is His gentleness. There is no other that has it. Only He can speak with such a soft soothingness that brings healing. There is truly none like Him. There is nothing better.

“You cannot be a leader until you learn how to be a follower” Amen, Sis!!💕
The Disciples walked with Jesus for 3 1/2 years…He was their teacher/leader and through their obedience in following, they were taught how to lead and feed The Lord’s sheep.
What a joy to walk this earth with Jesus. Yet that is what we can do every day! He is inside of our heart and that is closer. Good point, Tam! ❤️
Amen 🙏🏾
