PSALM 97
- The Lord reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles and coastlands be glad.
- Clouds and darkness are round about Him (as at Sinai); righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
- Fire goes before Him and burns up His adversaries round about.
- His lightnings illumine the world; the earth sees and trembles.
- The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
- The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the peoples see His glory.
There is a time coming when the Lord will reign on this earth or rather on the new earth He will create. He will reveal His glory and all people will see. It says the heavens declare His righteousness. How does it do that? I guess just by being so beautiful for us to witness. We see the sunshine and we see the storms.
We know this all did not happen by accident. There most assuredly is a Mighty Creator waiting in the wings. He is wanting to reveal Himself to a people who will love and respect Him for Who He is. Yes, He is the Creator, but He is also love. And this Super Creator laid down His royal robes and came to live on this earth as a normal man with Holy blood in His veins.
He loves us so much that He could not let us go our own sinful way. He became the way, the truth and the life for us. He paid the highest price for us so we could be with Him. He gave every drop of blood in His Holy veins for us because He puts such great value upon each one of us. He gave all of Himself for us. He was tortured, beaten with His face marred (more than any man) unrecognizable from the beating He took for us. He paid the greatest price.
How could anyone not see His goodness? Yet there will be those who will deny all that He is accusing Him of what He is not. They will be believing the lies Satan has told them not giving Him a chance because of their own choices in life they choose to blame Him.
How juvenile is that. Just like a kid mad at mom and dad because he cannot have a cherry sucker for dinner. He does not know that mom and dad love him too much to give him something that will hurt him. That is the definition of every Christ hater and atheist on this planet.
They will be judged for their unbelief and the falsehood they have allowed to live in their hearts. He will have given them every opportunity to come to Him. But soon that door will be shut, and every knee will bow before Him and He will reign forever and ever!
Psalm 97:12 Rejoice in the Lord, you consistently righteous – upright and in right standing with God – and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.
Amen, God is good.
