7. You have put more joy and rejoicing in my heart than they know when their wheat and new wine have yielded abundantly.

When we put our trust in the Lord that gives Him our life to protect and bless. Of course, He does what He wants anyway but He doesn’t have to. When we trust Him for our safety and lives, He is obligated to do what He has said He would do.
He is the one here that puts the joy in David’s heart. He knows that we need to be happy. The joy of the Lord is our strength. When you are with Jesus it is just happiness magnified. He is the one that puts peace in David’s heart and causes him to sleep and dwell in safety and confident trust. David is obedient. The Lord does the rest.
If you have seen any of the footage of the sufferings from the hurricane Helene’s effect on the people of Ashville, North Carolina your heart must be breaking for them. But as I watched I could not help but put myself in their shoes. And I realized I would not be in most of their shoes because I don’t live like most people.
The Lord is in control of when I go to the store. He takes care of all my needs. I don’t go to appointments. He has done it the same way for so many years, He is not about to change things now. If you give Him your life, then He will see that you are not put in a dangerous situation. It is time to let Him have control. Only He knows what we really need.
