ISAIAH 42

6. I the Lord have called You, the Messiah, for a righteous purpose and in righteousness; I have taken You by the hand and have kept You; I have given You for a covenant to the people Israel, for a Light to the nations.

7. To open the eyes of the blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness from the prison.

Isaiah speaks of Jesus many times. Jesus is the New Covenant. He is the New Testament that is recorded. It is all about Him. He is the Holy One the Father sees. If Jesus was not Holy there would not be a covenant. We would be lost like the fallen angels.

But Jesus is Holy and the Everlasting Covenant. When we cry out in His name the Father sees the purity of His Son. He does not see our sin. If we do not have faith in the blood of Jesus and Who He is then we are lost and in the darkness of this world. If we keep putting our faith in who we are and our own goodness, we are lost.

Jesus is the only way. There is no other way. We must believe. Believe in the Amplified means to trust in, adhere to and rely on.

When we first get saved, we are used to relying on self and other people and this world for help. But now things have changed, and we have a new refuge. And we must learn how to rely on Him. If we keep relying on others the bottom will eventually fall out. Self must die and get off of the throne of our hearts.

We must pray and pray and pray. Talking to Him about all our problems is the answer. He is there with His arms and ears wide open. He is listening to hear our cries. Times are getting worse every day. We need more help today than we did yesterday. And He already knows about it. This is a little poem from my Streams in the Desert Devotional:

God is in every tomorrow,
therefore, I live for today.
Certain of finding at sunrise,
guidance and strength for the way;
power for each moment of weakness,
hope for each moment of pain,
comfort for every sorrow,
sunshine and joy after the rain.

Streams in the Desert

I have been reading this little poem for over 30 years and the Lord has made it true. He is more than faithful and so very gentle, loving and good. I cannot imagine having to handle life without Him. He is my everything. There is no One like Him!
