“IF GOD BE FOR US” BIBLE STUDY OCTOBER 4, 2024

PSALM 125

1. Those who trust, lean on and confidently hope in the Lord are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides and stands fast forever.
2. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people from this time forth and forever.
3. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the uncompromisingly righteous, lest the righteous (God’s people) stretch forth their hands to iniquity and apostasy.
4. Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are right (with You and all people) in their hearts.
5. As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways of indifference to God, the Lord will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.

DEFNITIONS

Indifference -d) lack of concern or interest.

Indifferent -d) neutral; not particularly good or bad; of no importance.

This is talking about those who trust in the Lord. The Lord is telling us the great benefit of trust. When things go wrong, the Lord will be there, and they are immovable. They will not be harmed. They may be insulted and ridiculed and misunderstood but so was Jesus. We want to share in His suffering so we can share in His glory. But we will not be moved.

The Lord will be right beside us and keep us from all evil just as He promised in Psalm 121:7. It may hurt. It may be hard. But we will come out strong and at rest. It is a great thing to come out of a trial and know you have gotten a great victory.

Those that trust cannot be moved because the Lord is in control. He is in control of our emotions. He is close by and will keep us secure. There is nothing better than to hear Him say “Everything is okay, there is good in this.” He loves to do good to His people.

But to those who do not take a stand against the wrong, they will end up with the lost. Indifference is not one of the ten commandments. Nevertheless, it is one sin that will get you cast out and put with the wicked.

Indifference is a lack of concern and a desire to stay out of it. How many like to stay neutral when discussing the rapture? We are to follow Jesus. if He leads you to a place that it comes up and you keep vital information to yourself, that is indifference. It may cost you your soul.

It is time to speak up. We are in the last days and ears are opening. It is time to get involved. It is time to speak up!

Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to all this? If God be for us, who can be against us? Who can be our foe, if God is on our side? Amp.
