ISAIAH 4

2. In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

3. And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:

4. When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. KJV

We have all been taught from the book of John where it says He is the vine, and we are the branches. We used to sing that song. But the scripture in Isaiah 4 is calling Jesus the Branch. He is referred to as the Branch in connection with the last days and Millennial Reign in Ezekiel and Jeremiah.

I believe it means that Jesus is like a Branch of the Government that is extended to another place. He is a Branch of the Father which has been given the Earth as His kingdom because of the cross.

We are part of His body, so we are part of that Branch also. And because of that we that have endured to the end have also endured trials and cleansing from the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning. Which this burning is a type of Jesus which is a consuming fire. We are not burned by the fire. We are cleansed by the fire.

It says these are those that have escaped and he that is left in Zion and remaineth in Jerusalem. It doesn’t sound like there are many. But the Lord is creating the City of God that all nations will flow to. They will be safely protected by Him. So, it must be right before the Millennial Reign.

5. And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defense.

6. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from the storm and from rain. KJV

It is on earth because there is night and there is heat and storms. It sounds like the tribulations or wrath because few are left. But there are still assemblies, and they are protected. The Amplified says that over the glory shall be a canopy of divine love and protection. This word for glory is the same as in Isaiah 60:1 which means abundance.

Yes, it has been a time of trials and suffering, but it is also a time of recompense and blessing. It is a time of abundance of Jesus and there is nothing better than an abundance of Jesus.
