PSALM 145

6. Men shall speak of the might of Your tremendous and terrible acts, and I will declare Your greatness.

7. They shall pour forth (as a fountain) the fame of Your great and abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of Your rightness and justice.

8. The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness.

9. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works – the entirety of things created.

10. All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your loving ones shall bless You – affectionately and gratefully shall Your saints confess and praise You!

11. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power.

12. To make known to the sons of men God’s mighty deeds and the glorious majesty of His kingdom. Amp.

This is another Psalm of David. It is a happy Psalm. There are so many good things in it. I always love reading Psalm 145. He is talking about how men will make the Lord known. First, they have to know Him. It talks about His greatness. The Lord is good and wants to bless His people with His goodness.

He says they will pour forth as a fountain the fame of His great and abundant goodness. They have to be filled with Him to pour out for Him. If you look around at today’s churches, what do you hear? Do you hear all about His greatness? They have not experienced His greatness.

They shall speak of His glory. The definition of glory is abundance. They shall speak of His abundance because they have received His abundance. I have tasted of His abundance. And it is always surprising to me how much He gives to me. If I am not buying things that I believe He wants me to buy, He finds a way to give them to me. It’s like I have an assembly line of stuff continually flowing to me. I always thought to be prosperous was only to be spiritually prosperous. But I have found that is not all there is. He loves to bless abundantly.

I could talk about the wonderful things He has done for me, but I don’t think I am supposed to share them as yet. But I will say He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I cannot get enough of Him. All I want is to be with Him more and more.

There is a Phil song that says, “What the world needs is Jesus, just a glimpse of Him.” I have had many of those glimpses and they grow into stares. It is so absolutely wonderful. There is nothing better on this planet. His beauty is so deep, and it changes things just by looking. It requires stillness, no worry, no doubts but all faith in His Words. I am not always still enough to see. That is what He is working on in Me. I have to not let circumstances get in the way, but they still do.

Psalm 145:19. He will fulfill the desire of those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, He also will hear their cry, and will save them. Amp.

I know I desire Him more than anything, so He can give me all things because they do not matter anymore. I am not talking about cars, houses, boats or trips. Those things would just complicate my time with Him. I must have the simple life He has given me. Nothing could make me happier than He. That is my fountain pouring out His greatness.
