5. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord. KJV
5. Offer just and right sacrifices; trust (lean on and be confident) in the Lord. Amp.
Psalm 50:23 He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me; and he who orders his way aright — who prepares the way that I may show him – to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God.
These scriptures are telling us that the Lord does not require the blood of animals for a sacrifice. He was teaching the Israelites that the wage of sin is death. That lesson was brought to completion by the death and the blood of Jesus. There is absolutely no other sacrifice that can cancel our sin debt.
He wants us to place our faith in the blood of Jesus and come to Him with thanksgiving and trust. Abraham was fully satisfied that God was able and mighty to keep His Word and do what He had promised. That is why his faith was accredited to him as righteousness. No unbelief or distrust caused him to waver or doubt. And He will do the same for us if we trust in Him. That is Romans 3:20-24.
There is so much talk about in the last days Israel rebuilding the temple so they can offer Red Heifers. These are the Jews who do not recognize the blood of Jesus. Many believe this is a sign of the last days and must happen before the Lord returns. I do not agree.
Daniel 8:11 says the continual burnt offering was taken away and the place of God’s sanctuary was profaned. Daniel 9:30, says those who have abandoned the holy covenant with God make a deal with the Anti-Christ, then the Holy place is polluted and the daily sacrifice is taken away.
It goes on to say that the this is a test of God’s people, and many will fall but some will do exploits for God. And eventually the sacrifice and the altar is cleansed and restored.
I believe this is not the rebuilding of the temple on the Dome of the Rock in Israel with the Red Heifers being sacrificed. The Lord has made it clear to us what type of sacrifice He wants from us. He wants us to follow Him, doing His will and trusting in Him and His promises to us. But many will fall away and lose their trust in the Lord because they are not prepared for the shaking that is coming upon the earth. That opens the door for the Anti-Christ to come into their hearts and lives.
It is possible that Israel could build a temple and accomplish the task of sacrificing animals again. But it does not have to happen before the Lord returns. If you are waiting for that sign to happen, you might miss His coming.
There are many false teachings out there to get the Church’s eyes of off what is important.
11 Peter 3:14 Wherefore beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless. KJV
Abraham was blameless before the Lord not because he was perfect but because he had true faith and trust in the Lord. That gave him peace and wholeness before the Lord. That is what we need to be found by Him and ready when He comes. Not the blood of Red Heifers.
Those who are scared are looking for th signs, but they should be reading their bibles, praying and listening to the Holy Spirit.
Old time preachers would say “the signs should be following you, not you following the signs!”
Some will always wait for the sure thing. That will not please the Lord. He wants faith not sight. I have never heard that quote before. That’s a good one!
I’ve heard that that’s why there is actually “war” in Israel- and of course it’s not being covered by the media. They are bringing in those red heifers (into Israel) from Texas, I think.
I heard the red heifers did not exist until recently so that makes it a fact. I have always heard they were fighting over the spot where the Dome of the Rock is. That is the spot where they must build the temple. We are His temple, and He is always at work in us!
