MATTHEW 28
18. Jesus approached and breaking the silence said to them, “All authority — all power of rule – in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” Amp.
Why would Jesus say that all authority has been given to Him? He must have not had it all before. When He died and arose, He accomplished more than our salvation. It is like the Father has retired and gave everything to Jesus. What could that mean for us?
We know Jesus had authority when He was on the earth over all the powers of darkness. He was not seated at the right hand of the Father before. Now He not only sits next to the Father but has made it possible for us to sit next to Him. His life is an example to us.
We are to live like Jesus. We are to choose the Spirit filled life over the fleshly life. We must be crucified with Him and kill the desires of the flesh. We were created on the 6th day, same as the beasts. And if left to ourselves our fleshly nature will cause us to live rather like animals. We must die to that nature by crucifying it. It cannot be corrected. It must cease or die. The Holy Spirit within us must live in and through us.
That is when we become overcomers. We have must overcome the flesh, the world and the devil. Those are our enemies that He defeated on the cross. We must get our power from Him. Then we will be given authority to rule with Him when we die like He was given. He will share what He has won with us. Revelation 20:4
Revelation 21:7 He who is victorious shall inherit all these things, and I will be God to him, and he shall be My son. Amp.
What A Victory We Have in Jesus‼️
AMEN!
