PSALM 75
7. But God is the judge! He puts down one and lifts up another.
8. For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup (of His wrath), the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and He poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out and drink them.
9. But I will declare forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
There are many who will not stand when the Lord comes back to pour out His wrath. He will look at the hearts of men and their motives. He sees who loves Him and who loves themself. He will judge with righteous judgment and not hold back.
It will be just like it was when He rode into Jerusalem on that donkey. My Pastor preached a great sermon Sunday about how Jesus went from being praised by all to being crucified. He followed His steps all week and told how He offended so many. The Pharisees could not let Him insult them, so they killed Him. But they did not just kill Him they tortured Him. He went on to tell all the details that many leave out of what He actually suffered. No man could ever have endured what He did. He was truly God.
In the Church today, many want to serve Jesus their own way by mixing what they do with the world. They hang onto their life instead of giving it up for the brethren. So, they compromise their message and kill Jesus in the midst. There is mixture in many of the large mega churches and no one seems to care. They sugar coat the Gospel and people are not convicted but are very comfortable with the messages, so they keep coming and believe they are safe.
When He pours out His judgment it will also be well mixed, and many will drink it. He will turn things around, and it will not be like it was 2000 years ago. This time He will be the Head and bring His own along with Him. He will reach out and preserve the poor and needy. But all who have rejected Him this time will suffer His wrath. He will not sugar coat it!
But His people will be safely singing His praises! The Lord is always GOOD!
