PSALM 28:7
7. The Lord is my strength and my (impenetrable) shield; my heart trusts, relies on and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him. Amp.
When the Lord is our strength and shield, we must acknowledge as David does what kind of shield the Lord gives. He gives us protection that nothing can penetrate. That is why it is not good for us to worry about getting hurt. The enemy is not allowed access to us unless it is for our good.
The only time He is allowed in is for a trial for our growth and sanctification. We can let the enemy in if we leave that impenetrable shield. That is why it is so important to allow Him to lead us and not force our way in any circumstance. We can get off track too easy. We need His direction and His voice to lead us.
Then what happens? I am helped, therefore my heart greatly rejoices and with my song will I praise Him. We must acknowledge how great He is for allowing His mighty strength to protect us. Then how can we not praise Him and love Him for His great goodness! The more we are protected the safer we become.
If He inhabits our praises, are we not safe? There is safety in His presence. That is where we always want to be. We will dwell in the heavenlies where He is. When we are there, we are on holy ground.
I just watched Phil Driscoll speak and do some Praise and Worship in a Church in South Africa. He mentioned that when we praise and worship we are standing on Holy Ground and the enemy cannot touch us. It is based on reaping and sowing. How ever much we give to Him, is what He gives back to us. He gives so much more back to us. We establish our own Holy Ground by our praise and worship. There is power in praise. We can each have our Holy Ground because He inhabits our praises.

We so easily forget, when trials come, to come into his presence with praise on our lips.
We might consider it disrepectful for our children to come to us only when they have problems. What kind of relationship can we truly have if here is no fellowship?
Our worship of God is only deep when it’s personal, heart felt, consistent.
It’s why he comes in, to relish in our praises of Him, and us knowing and depending on his defense for us.
Bless you Wenda
I am blessed because I live alone and can sing as loud and long as I want! I even bought a trumpet and a mandolin. I have so much fun learning to play them. He is teaching me so much about the trumpet. I never ever thought I would play an instrument and now at my age I am blowing a trumpet in Zion, and it is so much fun!!! I love Him so much! He makes me so happy!! 🎺🎸🙏🏻❤️🎶
Blessings to you!
The Lord loves your worship, Wenda. Bless you.
So important that we don’t get ahead of God- the we’re out side of His shield. We Want Him out front and behind, as our Rear-guard…while we worship in the midst!! 🥰
I pray Psalm 121:7 every day and it is His job to keep me safe so I can rest. He wants my eyes on Him and not my weakness. Thank you always for the comments. 🙏🏻❤️🎺
Amen! I enjoy your Bible Studies😄
Lord is good and I enjoy them as well! 🤗💝🌹
