SAFETY IN THE LAST DAYS – REVELATION 18:2,4
2. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
4. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. KJV
DEFINITIONS
Babylon -c) confusion, to overflow, to mix, fodder (feed for cattle not sheep)
Babylon is a country back in the early days of Israel. It is known for being an idolatrous city. It is where the Israelites were sent by God into captivity. I guess the Lord was saying to them, “If you want idols so badly well then go where you can enjoy them.” They found that they missed their temple and their God. But they suffered greatly for their idolatry.
The Lord is still telling His people to come out from Babylon that you may not share in her plagues or the judgment she receives for her sins today. We see the definition of Babylon. Confusion is the definition of darkness and what you get when fear takes hold of you. We must learn to resist fear, so we do not end up in confusion where we can get lost and really lose our way.
If we try to mix Christianity with this world we end up in Babylon. We must end all connection with the world and be separate or cut off from them. We can see many churches which are worldly overflow with many attendants. We must decide why we go to church and do our best to choose the right one where the Spirit of God reigns. Then we are in a safe place.
We must make sure that our behavior is free from the world and idolatry, or we will suffer her judgment. He is warning His people to come out from worldliness and idolatry, or you will suffer like they will. We must cut off all using our free times to be entertained by sinners that are in Babylon.
Fodder is the garbage used to feed animals like corn husks, etc. Goats are known for eating anything. But sheep are known for eating grass. When He comes, He will separate the sheep from the goats. We must be careful what spiritual food we are eating. We cannot not feed on the spiritual junk food of this world and be spiritually healthy enough to be ready when He comes.
Revelation 21:7 He who is victorious shall inherit all these things, and I will be God to him, and he shall be My son. Amp.
