SAFETY IN THE LAST DAYS – REVELATION 16:15
15. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. KJV
DEFINITIONS
Naked -c) nude.
Watcheth -c) be vigilant.
Vigilant -d) alert to danger or trouble.
This is Jesus talking. He is telling us that when He returns, it won’t be with a big introduction. He will come quietly and unexpectantly. What does that tell us? It shows me that He is coming back only for those who take their walk with Him seriously and live to be with Him.
When Adam and Eve sinned, they were naked before God. Before that all was fine. Then God took an animal and killed it so they could have garments to cover their nakedness. Adam and Eve had never experienced death’s pain and ugliness. They saw the pain of death because of their sin.
We too must realize the ugliness of sin and keep on our garments which would be the Holy Spirit. We must continually examine our lives and keep the blood of Jesus cleansing and washing away any sin we may have allowed into our life.
We must always be in prayer, watching and alert to danger. We must be in tune daily with the Holy Spirit to use His help in all we do. We must keep our spiritual eyes open and alert to danger.
Anytime we commit a sin it causes a division between us and the Lord. If we love Him and want to be with Him, we will not let this happen. That is why He is coming like a thief. He wants to be the most important thing in our life. And we should give Him what He wants.
Revelation 22:17 The Holy Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty (who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported and strengthened); and whoever desires to do it, let him come and take and appropriate (drink) the Water of Life without cost.
