REVELATION 3:10
10. Because you have guarded and kept My Word of patient endurance – have held fast the lesson of My patience with the expectant endurance that I give you — I also will keep you safe from the hour of trial (testing) which is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth. Amp.
DEFINITIONS
Patience -c) cheerful or hopeful endurance, constancy, Patient endurance (waiting); to bear trials, persevere.
Patient -d) enduring pain, trouble, etc. with composure, without complaining.
The Lord is always telling us to rejoice in our trials and to be thankful, (James 1 & Roman 5). They are blessings sent to make us strong. And if we learn His lesson, it means will stop complaining when pain arrives. I have yet to learn this one.
He does not say that we are victorious. Not that we do not want to be victorious of course. He wants us to stay where He puts us until we are changed by Him. I do not expect to stop complaining on my own. I believe if I continue in His trial, He will make me victorious because I endured His lessons.
Patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit. But this one has an extra blessing.
Matthew 24:13 But he who endures to the end will be saved.
We must endure some pain if we expect to make it. I believe the last days is a subject no one wants to hear because they do not want to think about pain. What is going to happen when the pain comes? We must face the facts that there will be suffering that we must endure.
This country is based on pleasure. That is not what the saints in the Bible endured. This land believes that suffering is waiting too long in the fast-food lane and then their order is messed up.
Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule at the hands and by means of the prophets. And My people love to have it so, but what will you do when the end comes?
There will be a great shaking on this earth and men’s hearts will fail them for fear because of the things that are coming upon the earth, (Luke 21:25-26). Where are the voices that are warning the people?
There will be famines, fires and great earthquakes. There could easily be continuous power outages. People need to be ready. So, the Lord has a plan for each of us. In His plan is His lesson of patient endurance. If we endure, He will keep us safe in the famines, the fires, the earthquakes and the power outages. We must learn endurance.
