SAFETY IN THE LAST DAYS
Most of us believe that we are living in the last days. If that is the case, we want to know what is coming so we will be safe and ready when the Lord comes to take us home one way or another.
I do not believe in a catching away up into the clouds of our physical bodies. I believe in a spiritual catching away of our spirit into God’s presence when we worship and pray. I believe that we must be spiritually raptured to be ready for Him when He comes. I believe we need the refining fire of the tribulation period to prepare us.
I believe that during that time our safety comes by being spiritually raptured. Our protection comes from being in communion with the Lord. His presence is our protective covering. Then He will send out His angels to gather the elect, Matt.24:31. They will gather like they gathered Lot out of Sodom and Gomorrah. That is when one will be taken, and one will be left. The angels took Lot to safety. Those left died, Luke 17:26-37.
There are many verses in Revelation that show us how to be ready. Here are some of them:
- Revelation 3:10 – We must endure His lessons of patient endurance (trials).
- Revelation 6:6 – We must be covered in the Blood of Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit to escape the Famine – The Third Seal.
- Revelation 6:12-17 – We must be blameless, so we do not run from God.
- Revelation 9:4 – We must be green or a healthy tree meaning trust – Jer. 17:7-8.
- Revelation 12:12 – Our Spirit must be dwelling in the heavenlies because “Woe to those who dwell on the earth”.
- Revelation 12:13 – We must take up the 2 wings of a giant eagle which represent the Holy Spirit as we are in the wilderness and still on this earth as things get rough.
- Revelation 14:7 – We must worship God because it is the time of judgment. His presence is our safety.
- Revelation 16:15 – We must guard our clothes and not be found naked as Adam and Eve because of their sin that separated them from God.
- Revelation 18:4 – We must come out of Babylon, or we will participate in their plagues. Babylon means confusion (darkness) and mixture. Mixture meaning mixing Christianity with the world and sin.
We will go over these at another time. But this is the basic scriptures that show us the way to prepare. There are more in the other books of the Bible we will cover at another time.
I am saying that these are our safety. It does not mean you will not make it if you are not safe. It just means you will suffer a lot more than you have to. Matt. 24 says many will fall away and begin to distrust Him Whom they should trust and obey. That means it will be so hard that many will blame God for their suffering because they were not prepared and turn away from Him. This is so very important that we know what is coming and prepare ourselves with the power of the Holy Spirit.
