“HE DAILY LOADS US WITH BENEFITS” BIBLE STUDY JANUARY 26, 2024

PSALM 68

19. Blessed be the Lord, who daily loaded us with benefits, even the God of our salvation, Selah. KJV

DEFINITIONS

Benefit -d) a kindly charitable act, favor; anything contributing to an improvement in condition; advantage.

The Lord is so good to us. His heart is always in the giving mode. He loves to bless us. We must always be in the receiving mode. If we are empty and dry or lacking in some way it is not ever because of Him. The problem is always with us. If we have needs that are not met, there is a reason. It is up to us to find out what that reason is. I think in most cases it is not having severed relationship with this world. It could be worldly friends or entertainment. It could also be the giving of tithes not only 10 percent of our income, but we must give of ourselves.

He wants to give to us anything that will contribute to an improvement. Sometimes it may be that we need an improvement in strength, so He sends a trial. Trials, if endured the right way will end in maturity for our character. But He always gives at the end of the trial more than we deserve for our suffering.

He does not withhold any good thing for no reason. We must seek, knock and ask until we get an answer. He will show us if we ask in faith. We must spend time alone with Him to get an answer listening for His voice. There have been times when I told Him I was not leaving until I got an answer. And He always shows up with my answer! I think many people give up too soon.

This scripture says He loads us with benefits. I have found this to be true in my life. He gives me so much now. It was not always that way. I used to think prosperity was only for spiritual matters. I just wasn’t ready for what He wanted to give. Now He gives and gives. It never runs dry in all areas. He is so good!
