PSALM 25

  1. Unto you, O Lord, do I bring my life.
  2. O my God, I trust, lean on, rely on and am confident in You; let me not be put to shame or my hope in You be disappointed; let them be ashamed who forsake the right or deal treacherously without cause.

This is another Psalm of David. He knows the path to victory is the Lord’s. His enemies are ever at his heels trying to bring him shame. We do not have to go out and fight a physical battle like David. So, our enemy has to think up new ways to get at us. His ways though are basically the same. Lies!

DEFINITIONS

Lie -d) to make a statement or statements that one knows to be false, especially with intent to deceive.; to give a false impression.

Satan is the father of lies. He is the great deceiver. What does he lie about most? He loves to lie about God. He wants us to have a false impression of who God is and what He is like. He loves to tell us that we have crossed the line and God will never forgive us. He always makes things to be worse than they are. The Father makes things to be easier than they are. He takes our burden and carries it for us.

4. Show me Lord; Your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.

We need to know the way for us to take. His ways are not our ways. We must learn them. We need safety every moment. Satan is always doing his best to get us off track if we let him. If we ask, the Lord will always do His best to guide us into the light. It is ours to follow.
