“DWELL IN YOUR COURTS” BIBLE STUDY JANUARY 22, 2024

PSALM 65

4. Blessed – happy, fortunate (to be envied) – is the man whom You choose and cause to come near, that he may dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple. Amp.

We all try our best to come into the Lord’s presence. We need the Lord’s presence in our life. That is where the power is that transforms us. We need to be transformed into His image more and more. We need the strength that comes only from Him.

If we continue to serve Him in our own strength, we will eventually come to the end of our strength and lose the battle. We are not equipped with what it takes to resist the world, the flesh and the devil. We need overcoming strength that comes only from the Holy Spirit.

1 CHRONICLES 29:11 Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and the earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and Yours it is to be exalted as head overall.

12. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign overall. In Your hand are power and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. Amp.

This scripture tells us that all that is in the heavens and earth belong to Him. He reigns overall. And we need Him to draw us into His presence. He has the say so. We must honor Him and keep His commandments. We must do things to please Him. We must do things His way or He will wait until we do.

Ephesians 3:16 May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the Holy Spirit (Himself) indwelling your innermost being and personality. Amp.

He must grant us access to His rich treasury of His glory. That is where the strength and power lie. He must cause us to come near and dwell or live in His courts, His house and His presence. That is where our satisfaction lies also.

Ephesians 3:17-19 also tell us that when we dwell with Him, we can be rooted in His love. We can be able to understand that love by experiencing it. We can be flooded with the richest measure of His divine presence and fullness.

And if we experience all of this, we are told that He is able to carry this out which is His purpose and is far above all we dare ask or think. It is far beyond all our highest prayers, desires, hopes and dreams.

The way to the most and best, happiest existence is to obey and follow Jesus, pure and simple. It is all in His hand to grant us the absolute best which is Him! It is ours to obey.
