James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. KJV
How does James say we know the difference between the wisdom from above or earthly wisdom from below?
13. Who is there among you who is wise and intelligent? Then let him by his noble living show forth his good works with the unobtrusive humility which is the proper attribute of wisdom.
14. But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry, selfish ambition) in your hearts, do not pride yourselves on it and thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth.
How does Satan get in and corrupt the wisdom that God intends for His Church?
James 4:4 You are like unfaithful wives having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God! Do you not know that being the world’s friend is being God’s enemy? So, whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God. Amp.
The Lord says to come out from the world and be separate. That means cut off. How many are entertained by the world? How many watch TV, Sports, go on vacations, and to restaurants? Are not these all contaminated with the world?
Do you watch sinners act out programs? Do you watch sinners play sports? Do you go where sinners go on vacations and sleep in the same bed where they have slept? Do you go where sinners eat and cook the food you eat? Is not all of this opening your lives up to contamination?
Yet somehow when one does it, all end up doing it and it is okay. Except for the one outcast who does not do it. Somehow Satan will plant seeds in the minds to destroy the character of the one who obeys.
2 Corinthians 6:17 So, come out from among (unbelievers), and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not any unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor.
18. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. Amp.
