PSALM 18:30

30. As for God, His way is perfect! The Word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him. Amp.

DEFINITIONS

Buckler -c) shield, protector.

Darkness -c) misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness, as withholding the light, hide.

Naked -d) without protection or defense (without faith – in fear).

We need the Lord to be our protector in the last days. There are so many references in Psalm 18 that coincide with the last days. The Lord is coming back with recompence. He will protect His own but leave others out. We must put our trust in Him. He is jealous for our trust and will not share it with any other.

If He says by His stripes, we have been healed then we should believe Him and not go to man or the doctors for help. That is basically saying “we don’t believe you and must go to man for help.” But the hospitals are filled with Christians. What we have are symptoms if we believe it. But if you want to believe you have some dread disease, that is what you will get.

The Lord lets us go through trials for a purpose and must seek Him when things go wrong and ask Him why this is happening to us. We must learn to seek Him about every phase of our life. That is what He wants. And that is how we get answers.

In Isaiah 60:2 it says darkness will cover the earth. The definition of darkness is misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness. When this darkness comes the Lord will withhold His light. And that is true misery. But I believe that is here now. So now is the time to stop going to man for help and make the Lord your refuge.

His way is perfect and will be a protector to all who put their trust in Him. But you cannot have it both ways. I have heard it said that I will go to the Doctor and trust the Lord to use him the right way. That would be great if the Lord agreed. But He wants it all. He must be everything to us. He is worthy of all of our trust. It takes true faith to do nothing and wait on the Lord to move. Faith is what pleases Him.

Revelation 16:15 Lo, I am going to come like a thief! Blessed – happy, to be envied – is he who stays awake (alert) and who guards his clothes so that he may not be naked and have the shame of being seen exposed! Amp.

When Adam and Eve sinned, they knew they were naked for the first time. They were not protected because they disobeyed God. When He comes back many will run from Him because they are naked, and their sin will cause them to be banished from God’s presence.

Heaven will depart when the stars fall and the sun and moon are darkened. Every eye will see Him. What will happen?

It is truly time to make Him your only refuge. He does not need any help. He knows how to protect His own.
