ISAIAH 25
Isaiah 25 is talking about the aftermath of judgment in chapter 24. Babylon falls and the effects have caused his people to praise Him. They can see the evil being sentenced and carried out. The evil city is now a ruin, a heap never to be rebuilt. The aliens are without a city, and they fear God, (vs. 1-3).
His people praise Him for He has been a stronghold and shelter to the poor and needy. But on Mount Zion shall be a feast of rich things. They will be rich with the anointing of the Lord. His presence will be freely flowing after judgment. He will destroy the gloom and mourning. His light will break every stronghold of darkness. He will arise and change it all, (vs. 4-7).
He will swallow up death forever and wipe away the tears. He will take away the reproach meaning the blame. No more false accusations. No more hypocrisy. No more false worship. No more sin. He will save His people. For the Lord has spoken it, (vs. 8).
We will rejoice for we have waited for Him and He is here. We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. For the Lord will stretch out His hand all over the world and gather His Mount Zion and draw them near unto Him. And He will rest His hand upon them.
Malachi 4:1 For behold, the day comes that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud and arrogant, yes, and all that do wickedly and are lawless shall be stubble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
2. But unto you who revere and worshipfully fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings and His beams, and you shall go forth and gambol like calves released from the stall and leap for joy. Amp.
