ISAIAH 60
3. And nations shall come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising.
4. Lift up your eyes round about you and see! They all gather themselves together, they come to you, Your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried and nursed at thy side.
5. Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart shall thrill and tremble with joy (at the glorious deliverance) and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted to thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
DEFINITIONS
Abundance -c) “Hamon”- noise, tumult, disquietude; wealth, company, many, multitude, riches, store.
Forces -c) “Chayil” – a force whether of men, means or other resources, an army, wealth, virtue, valor. strength, able, host, might, power, goods, riches, brave, courageous, fearlessness, general moral excellence, goodness of character.
When the Lord returns, He will come with recompence. His judgment will be strong in most places and hard to bear. But there will be a remnant who will be blessed like Esther and Mordecai.
The battle they were in was turned to their favor. They received the permission from Ahasuerus to defend their lives and to destroy and to wipe out their attackers. They received supernatural strength from above and the fear of them had fallen upon their enemies. They had rule over them.
Esther received the house of Haman which I have read was worth approximately one million dollars in today’s standards.āPlus, Mordecai was next to King Ahasuerus and great among the Jews and was a favorite with them, (Esther 9-10).
They received the forces of the Gentiles. They received wealth, strength, courage and general moral excellence just like the definition of forces says. Also, the Hebrew word for abundance is strangely “Hamon.” This is too close for a coincidence. And the meaning is like the battle that they fought and what they acquired.
We can read the book of Esther and see the last days played out physically as we fight the same battle spiritually. We will win if we fight the good fight in the power of the Holy Spirit and not grow weary. We will reap a mighty reward!
