MALACHI 3

10. Bring all the tithes — the whole tenth of your income – into the storehouse that there may be food in My house and prove Me now by it says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of Heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

11. And I will rebuke the devourer (insects and plagues) for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine drop its fruit before the time in the field, says the Lord of hosts. Amp.

When He says to bring in the tithes He is not only talking about money but the offering of your life and heart. If we withhold our life, we are robbing God and there will be no food in His house. But when we give our life, He rebukes the devourer. He delivers us from the enemy. The enemy must flee and stop stealing our fruit and we are safe. The Hebrew definition for fruit is also reward.

Luke 11:41 But dedicate your inner self and give for donations to the poor of those things which are within (of inward righteousness) and behold, everything is purified and clean for you.

This scripture is also telling us that part of our blessing and reward when we give our life and heart is being cleansed and purified from within. Most read Malachi 3:10 and think only monetary blessings are to be reaped. But if you think about how He blesses with safety. It means you will not be putting out money going to the doctor and getting the car fixed. Just think of how much a year is spent on repairs and healthcare. You will not even need healthcare because He will be your insurance that you are safe and well.

When we do not give our hearts to Him, we are robbing Him. He paid the greatest price for us and we belong to Him now. We are to serve, obey and keep His commandments. Which is only the best thing there is for us.

We will receive so many blessings we will overflow and overflow and overflow some more!

  1. Good Lesson, Wenda🙏🏾 And He will rebuke the devourer for us. If we have to spend the whole day, repeatedly rebuking the devil….maybe we’re shortchanging God, somewhere. The Scripture says – He will rebuke him for us!! So when he makes his wicked way to the front of the meeting to make his accusations, The Lord will Rebuke him on our behalf💕
