REVELATION 6
13. And the stars of the sky dropped to the earth like a fig tree shedding its unripe fruit out of season when shaken by a strong wind. Amp.
14. And the sky rolled up like a scroll and vanished, and every mountain and island was dislodged from its place. Amp.
11 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief, and then the heavens will vanish (pass away) with a thunderous crash, and the (elements) of the universe will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up. Amp.
We are told that the end will come with fire. The heavens or universe will die or pass away. The sun and moon are darkened as they die. The sun is shooting out flares of alarming size and rates. The stars can be taken spiritually as Christians who are called to be lights in the world and fall because they have not endured the trials that would have matured their spirit and helped them to be ready for the Day of the Lord. They too are darkened.
In Revelation 9 the 6th angel blows his trumpet and 1/3 of mankind was killed by fire, smoke and brimstone. 1/3 of the population of the earth is more than the entire population of the US. Isaiah 24:6 says the inhabitants of the land and the earth are scorched and parched under the curse of God’s wrath and few people are left.
Revelation 16 :8 then the fourth angel emptied out his bowl upon the sun, and it was permitted to burn (scorch) humanity with fierce, glowing heat (fire).
9. People were severely burned (scorched) by the fiery heat, and they reviled and blasphemed the name of God Who has control of these plagues, and they did not repent of their sins…
Isaiah 34:8 For the Lord has a day of vengeance, a year of recompence for the cause of Zion.
9. And the streams of Edom shall be turned into pitch, and its dust into brimstone, and its land will become burning pitch.
Edom being the descendants of Essau, Jacob’s brother who sold his birthright for a bowl of soup. How many of God’s people would rather eat than fast and draw closer to Him? Are they not selling their right to be His son’s because their flesh controls them so they are hostile toward God and will not stand when He comes?
Matthew 24:35 Sky and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
The Lord is telling us in many ways that this world is soon to die. If your flesh controls what you eat and when you get out of bed and stops, you from praying and drawing near to the Lord in Worship every day at the same time so that your spirit stays filled with His Holy Spirit then you will not be ready and will endure the fire and brimstone. It begins with fasting.
Revelation 7:14-17
16. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore neither shall the sun smite them, nor any scorching heat.
