Heart -d) the center of emotions; inmost thoughts and feelings.

If we are to love the Lord with our whole heart, mind and soul then we should learn about each part of us. I think of my heart as a pie. I try to see who has most of the pie. We must pay attention to who or what we give our heart to. We have control over what we love. We can tell what is in our heart by the words that come out of our mouths.
If we really love the Lord, we will keep His commandments and He will come and dwell in our hearts. We will be close enough to experience His love and goodness firsthand. That will be enough to put Him above all other loves in our pie. It is so easy to love Him when we experience His gentle and loving ways. He created a spot in our heart that only He can fill. Once that spot is filled you are not content to live at a distance from Him. He is everything to you!
If we love the Lord with all of our soul, we begin to give Him what He asks. You are very uncomfortable away from His will. We still have a sin nature that acts in opposition to His will. So, we must pray that our actions are motivated by the love we have for Him. He knows how to create a heart in us for Him alone. We must ask in faith.
If we love the Lord with all of our mind or intellect it affects our thinking and wills. We have to battle the devil in this plane because he has access to our mind. He can speak lies to us. It is up to us to choose to believe what he says or what God says. This is the place where we decide to act in faith or unbelief. We decide whether we take these thoughts into our heart.
Our mind is Satan’s battleground, and we must pray for help to keep him out. We must bind him in all 3 areas. He knows more about us than we do and comes to steal kill and destroy. He usually begins in the mind with lies. We must learn how to recognize him at the onslaught of any attack and bind him and not listen to his lies.
Matthew 22:46 The Lord said to My Lord, Sit at My right hand until I put your enemies under Your feet?
He calls us to be seated with Christ in the heavenly realm and He will also put our enemies under our feet.
