REVELATION 15
- And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
- And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire; and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
- And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints. KJV
We see this is at the beginning of the last 7 plagues which are the 7 Vials or the beginning of the wrath of God. John sees those who have come forth victoriously over the beast. They are standing on a sea of glass which to me resembles peace. When you have gotten victory over the flesh and the beast you should come into a peaceful place as a sea of glass. All the waves do not affect you anymore because the Lord dwells with you and you are at rest singing His song.
What have they gotten the victory over?
- The Beast
- His Image
- His Mark
- The Number of His Name
THE BEAST
The beast is a demonic spiritual being having 7 heads and 10 horns, and upon his horns (powers) 10 crowns (rulers), and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. Rev. 13:1
Definitions
Powers -c) privilege force, delegated influence. authority, jurisdiction, strength.
Crowns -c) rulers.
Blasphemy -c) vilification (especially against God), evil speaking, railing.
The beast is 7 demons in one. He has 10 horns or powers with 10 rulers. These could be any number of sins that they carry and seduce mankind. Here is a partial list of what they might be:
- Deception
- Fear
- Lust
- Pride
- Rebellion
- Idolatry
- Unbelief
- Jealousy
- Bitterness
- Homosexuality
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual wickedness in high places.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the Word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.
The average Christian does not battle a New World Order or other leaders of this world. But he faces and fights battles every day with spirits of unbelief, fear, idolatry and many more. I believe one reason he has 7 heads is because of God’s judgment on a Church who has not filled their house properly and 7 more come to dwell and oppress. (Matt. 12:43-45) But there will be those who are victorious singing the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb.
HIS IMAGE
Image -d) a representation of a person or thing, drawn or painted or statue or visual impression or something produced by a lens, mirror, etc.
We are not a society that worships statues, but we have the Media constantly in our face trying to control our lives. Satan is the prince of the air where all of this is taking place. Why wait for the Anti-Christ to come into some physical temple and proclaim he is God when he is already at work in homes and lives.
HIS MARK
Mark -c) a scratch or stamp (badge of servitude).
Romans 6:16 Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to anyone to do his will, you are slaves to him whom you obey, whether it be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness – right doing and right standing with God? Amp.
This is a mark or who you serve. If you serve God, you will have His mark. We carry a badge of who we serve, and all will eventually know who we belong to. It is about who or what we love. Who do we worship?
THE NUMBER OF HIS NAME
Man was created on the 6th day the same as the beasts. Man was given dominion. He was created in the image of God but fell therefore is not complete without the cross. The cross is the only thing that can bring mankind into perfection or completion which is number 7. God rested on the 7th day. The Holy Spirit must reign in man’s heart to bring him into the rest of God and His Sabbath. The number 6 means all throughout the bible weakness of man – evils of Satan – manifestation of sin.
MAN IS A 3-FOLD BEING:
- Mind – we must have a renewed mind – Romans 12:2
- Spirit – we must be filled and controlled by the Holy Spirit – Galatians 5:16
- Body – the flesh must be subdued by mortification so we can be led by the Spirit and become the Sons of God and not hostile to God. Romans 8:7-13
The bottom line is if we are not victorious, we will offer strange fire and be judged. When we are complete, we are true worshippers and learn the first most important commandment which is:
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. KJV
