REVELATION 21
9. Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven final plagues came and spoke to me. He said, Come with me! I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.
10. Then in the Spirit, He conveyed me away to a vast and lofty mountain, and exhibited to me the holy (hallowed, consecrated) city of Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God.
11. Clothed in God’s glory – in all its splendor and radiance. The luster of it resembled a rare and most precious jewel, like jasper, shining clear as crystal. Amp.
What a beautiful scene. This must be after the marriage supper because the bride is called the Lamb’s wife. This is the mountain of the Lord. It comes down out of the heavens. It must be the new heaven. By now the old heaven and earth have been destroyed.
The Lord is so very large. The size of the city itself is wonderful. She is clothed in God’s glory. the Father has been preparing a special bride for his special Son. She is shining like a jewel. Crystal is so sparkling and pure. It is the size of 1500 square miles. It is the largest mountain with gates made of pearl, streets of gold and walls of jewels.
We know it needs no artificial light or sunlight because the Lamb is its light. The nations shall walk by its light. Its gates are never closed. There is no night there. Nothing sinful is there. No one shall enter that is unclean or practices falsehood only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
This is where God will wipe away every tear from eyes. There will be no more death, sadness or pain. The old conditions have passed away. All who worship must come here to worship or they will receive no rain.
Revelation 21:7 He who is victorious shall inherit all these things, and I will be God to him and he shall be My son.
We must think about all the blessing to come and fight the good fight of faith being victorious. All will not be the bride. It talks about the nations who walk by its Light. It is so special to the Lord when we win the battles we are face with. We will reap a most special reward!
