ISAIAH 60
- Arise (from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you; rise to a new life)! shine – be radiant with the glory of the Lord; for your light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you! Amp.
This is the Lord’s will for us and is backed up by many other scriptures. They are:
Isaiah 58:8 Then shall your light break forth as the morning, and your healing (your restoration and the power of a new life) shall spring forth speedily; your righteousness (your rightness, your justice and your right relationship with God shall go before you (conducting you to peace and prosperity), and the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Amp.
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world – this age, fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs. But be transformed (changed) by the renewal of your mind – by its new ideals and its new attitude – so that you may prove (for yourselves) what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect in His sight for you. Amp.
Ephesians 2:6 And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together – giving us joint seating with Him – in the heavenly sphere (by virtue of our being) in Christ Jesus, the Messiah, the Anointed One. Amp.
These 4 scriptures have one thing in common. They speak about being changed. They speak about being transformed. They speak about a new attitude. They speak about a new life and a right relationship with God. He lifts us up to sit next to Him in the heavenly sphere. These are all possibilities that He desires for us. This is our safety. How do we acquire this great blessing?
Isaiah 58 is the Fasting Chapter. I believe it leads us to the Sabbath Rest in verse 13. There is so much to do that leads up to 13. It is telling us that if we fast the fast the Lord chooses that He will perfect us in so many ways. We will end up able to serve Him by:
- Not going your own way.
- Not seeking your own pleasure.
- Not speaking with your own idle words.
Which leads us to ride on the high places of the earth as we delight ourselves in the Lord as He feeds us. When He feeds you, you are satisfied. The high places being the heavenly sphere or Ephesians 2:6 and arising to the glory of the Lord. Then we are changed and transformed.
We have a new attitude. We are living in His perfect will. The world is not a part of our lives anymore. It has disappeared. We are too busy enjoying all of His goodness and the new life we have risen to.
Then we have the rest of Isaiah 60 to feast upon.
PSALM 57:2 I will cry to God Most High, Who performs on my behalf and rewards me – Who brings to pass His purposes for me and surely completes them! Amp.
