PSALM 15
- Lord, who shall abide in Thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in Thy holy hill?
- He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
- He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor.
- In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoreth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
- He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved. KJV
DEFINITIONS
Reproach -d) to accuse of a fault; to bring disgrace upon; an object of blame.
Truth -d) not false.
This is a list of what the Lord will not tolerate in His house. I think the most important part of Psalm 15 is in verse 2 when it says, “and speaketh the truth in his heart.” The Lord will not allow us to believe the lies from the enemy or doubt Him and His Word.
That would be unbelief and will lead you into darkness. Anytime we doubt what the Lord is saying to us, He sees it as us calling Him a liar. He will not let us do that. He will allow the Holy Spirit to drain out of us and we will wonder why we are so dry.
He is teaching us His ways by allowing us to be dry. We are to seek Him to find the answers to how we became dry. Then He will lead us into all truth. His Word is always true, and we must believe it. There are many times that we are believing Satan’s lies and we are not aware of it.
He will not allow us to blame others for the sin that He paid for. When we point the finger at others and tell the world are we not like a thief stealing their reputation? We must be careful when we accuse others, (verse 3).
If the Lord is calling us to do some difficult things, we must believe He will give us the proper supplies to get it done. We cannot look at our own weaknesses. It is not about us. It is about Him. He has everything we need and will not deny us. He does not expect us to do the impossible. He expects us to allow Him to do the impossible through us.
Romans 2:8 But for those who are self-seeking and self-willed and disobedient to the Truth but responsive to wickedness, there will be indignation and wrath.
He requires faith in Him and His Word. We must have Truth in our hearts to serve Him. There will be judgment for those who disregard the Truth. We must keep our eyes opened to those who ignore God’s Word and disregard the Truth. The last days will expose those who belong to Him and those who do not.
