PSALM 105
- O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His doings among the peoples!
- Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate and talk of all His marvelous deeds and devoutly praise them.
This is a perfect picture of the way we are to make the Lord known! We begin by giving thanks, calling upon Him. We are to make known all the great things He has done of for us. We are to keep a book of remembrance that will list all He has done.
4. Seek inquire of and for the Lord and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation and seek and require His face and His presence continually), forevermore. Amp.
We are to pray and ask Him for help. We are to ask to know Him and learn His ways. We are to talk to Him like a Father and get close to Him. To seek His face means to see Him as He is. And He is beauty. He is majesty. He is glory and honor. He is telling us if we seek and look for Him we will see and find His beauty, majesty, glory and honor.
If this is available to all of His children then why aren’t they seeing Him in His beauty?
The key is suffering. The Israelites had to go through the wilderness to learn His ways. they needed to be taught. We also need the wilderness and to be taught. But today the wilderness experience is our choice. that is part of the seeking. If we truly and earnestly desire to see and know Him we will be willing to go through the wilderness and the fire.
Today many of God’s people are in spiritual Babylon because they will not suffer. In the book of Revelations Babylon is judged because:
Rev. 18:7 To the degree that she glorified herself and reveled in her wantonness – living deliciously and luxuriously – to that measure impose on her torment and anguish and tears and mourning. Since in her heart she boasts, I am not a widow; as queen (on a throne) I sit, and I shall never see suffering or experience sorrow. Amp.
That seems to be the mindset of some in the church who think suffering is not mandatory. But it is. He says in Romans 8:17, “we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.” We must study His sufferings and know they are meant to us. He was not loved but hated by this world. He never sought the praises of man, but only the Father. He called the Pharisees, vipers and told them, “Woe to you.” He gave no thought to His own interests but continually did the Father’s will. He would never have been attached to the media the way the church of today is.

I love your opening Psalm. Our singing of praises unto God takes our minds off the world’s problems and worries and hides us in his peace which surpasses all human understanding. Bless you ❤️
Amen, Nothing else will do! God Bless you! 💖
Amen 🙏🏾
Help us Father God to live as Jesus did. As Wenda said, “He gave no thought to His own interests but continually did the Father’s will.” May we do the same. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
