PSALM 21
- The king shall joy in Thy strength, O Lord; and in Thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
- Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips, Selah.
- For Thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
DEFINITIONS
Preventest -c) to project (oneself), precede; to anticipate, hasten, meet (usually for help).
David’s life is to be an example for us. He had many trials, troubles and afflictions but the Lord delivered Him out of them all. The end result is blessing upon blessing. He received his heart’s desire.
He was tending the sheep, learning the ways of the Lord early in life. I believe His heart’s desire was the Lord first and foremost. He learned that lesson when he is crowned king of Israel. Now he can rule from a pure heart that has been through the refiner’s fire of affliction and came forth as gold. He learned that the Lord would always be there knowing where each enemy stood. The battles are won before they are fought. verses 8-12
He has given him the blessings of goodness. I believe that is God’s plan for each of us. He promises to make all things work for our good. But He wants us to believe it and get it into our spirit daily. He wants us to walk in that goodness. The crown he gives us is continued authority over the enemy resulting in goodness and victory.
Psalm 21:5 His glory is great because of Your aid; splendor and majesty You bestow upon him. Amp.
6. For You make him to be blessed and a blessing forever; You make him exceedingly glad with the joy of Your presence. Amp.
He is blessed because the Lord has blessed him with His presence and the KJV says His countenance. David has sought the Lord and found Him. Now he is enjoying the fruit of his afflictions. Nothing better than seeing His face. That is the safest, most joyous place on earth.
Amen 🙏🏾. Many of us forget the fires of affliction that David endured before his promotion. It’s a requirement for such heights of glory, to ensure that we don’t become puffed up. Being tried, tested and proven worthy of God’s exaltation. Bless you. 🙏🏾❤️
Trials are what real faith is built on. I know because I have had plenty. They changed me. 🙏🙏

Indeed the Lord does bless His children!!!!!!!! I do love Him so. Thank You Lord for Wenda and her faithfulness. I pray You shroud her with Your presence. May she find fullness of joy. Keep her safe under Your wing. Satan is out trying to kill, steal and destroy, but You oh Lord are her glory and the lifter of her head. Wenda is safe in Your hands. She is Your daughter, and You have good plans for her. Thank You Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
