MATTHEW 24

4. Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you – deceiving you and leading you into error.

5. For many will come in (on the strength of) My name – appropriating the name which belongs to Me – saying, I am the Messiah, the Christ: and they will lead many astray.

In the last days there are so many fleshly pulpits that water down the Gospel making something you can easily tuck into your life to secure a ticket in heaven. There are so many teachings that are birthed in the minds of the self-willed who use scripture out of context to falsely support their own doctrines.

They have a vast audience of itchy ears who have learned to not love the truth but are responsive to wickedness. How does this happen to a Church that was at one time built on the Rock?

The beginning of the intolerable anguish comes with wars, famines and earthquakes which we have already been exposed to.

9. Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. (This can mean spiritual death.)

There is so much hypocrisy in this world. The stage has been set for many years. It is on the increase. He said if they hate Me, they will hate you. If you serve the Lord to be loved by man then you are serving man and self.

How do you tell the difference?

John 7:17. If any man desires to do His will (God’s pleasure), he will know – have the needed illumination to recognize, can tell for himself whether the teaching is from God, or whether I am speaking from Myself and of My own accord and on My own authority.

18. He who speaks on his own authority seeks to win honor for himself – he whose teaching originates with himself seeks his own glory. But he who seeks the glory and is eager for the honor of Him who sent him, he is true; and there is no unrighteousness or falsehood or deception in him. Amp.

This is why many are persecuted and then become offended and begin to distrust and desert Him Whom they ought to trust and obey. They will stumble and fall away and betray one another and pursue one another with hatred. (Matt. 24:10.)

11. And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error.

12. And the love of the great body of people will grow cold, because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity.

13. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

The spirit of the world which is death has gotten into the Church. Selfish ambition has taken the place of dying to self and being crucified with Christ. They are not concerned for their sheep so the sheep are not fed and are a prey to the enemy.

There will be a great falling away because of false shepherds who only wanted the glory for themselves. Then will the end come.

We must be in close communion with Jesus to know the truth. We must be in close communion with Jesus to endure the rejection and persecution of the false prophets who will rise up and lead many into error.

Matthew 24:22 And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would endure and survive; but for the sake of the elect (God’s chosen ones) those days will be shortened.
