PSALM 28:9
9. Save Your people and bless Your heritage; nourish and shepherd them and carry them forever.
This is a Psalm of David in a time when he is asking for help from his enemies. He is asking the Lord to repay them for their wickedness. He does not want to be partakers of what they do.
He is saying in verse 5 that they do not regard the works of the Lord. The Lord will break them and not rebuild them. How many times have we seen in scripture where the Lord rebuilds. I just wrote about it. But here we see where the Lord will not rebuild in this case.
How much in the Church is really the works of His hands? Is the Lord really involved in all that Media? Would Paul have had a Television Ministry? I am not so sure. If he did it would not be so vast and time consuming that it would affect his daily communion and walk with the Lord.
Many get so involved and busy that it consumes them. They do their own works without inquiring of the Lord or to get His approval. They do their own thing in His name. Is the daily prayer and communion time directing their steps? Or is the lack of daily prayer and communion time affecting their steps.? His judgement will come for ignoring the Lord and saying their works are the Lords. And He will not rebuild them.
Now is the time to seek the Lord with all our hearts and make sure that we learn to follow His leading. I believe many things would change if the Lord had His way.
Psalm 37:11 But the meek (in the end) shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
It is time to take stock in the veracity of the church and its dealings. May the Spirit of God lay claim to that which is truly His.
