ISAIAH 12:4-5
4. And in that day, you will say, Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name and by means of His name; declare and make known His deeds among the peoples of the earth, proclaim that His name is exalted!
5. Sing praises to the Lord, for He has done excellent things – gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth. Amp.
We are always to sing praises to the Lord. If we are going through a hard time it will help us to endure. When we are low it always lifts us up high. He wants us to be in high spirits. We have so much to be thankful for. Twice we are told to give thanks.
Giving thanks is a powerful and positive thing. We are to enter His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts and into His courts with praise, (Psalm 100:4). We cannot come into His house without being thankful.
It changes the way we think. If He is our focus, we are blest. We are to make His deeds known and tell how good He is. Our spiritual eye is our health thermometer. We can tell what our focus is. Satan would have us focus on the negative things in our life. But the Lord says to be thankful.
We are blessed to have Jesus, who paid our way into heaven. We can rejoice and be glad no matter what may come. He will always make a way for us and be our everything.
Is that not enough to be thankful for forever?
