PSALM 35:27

27. Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad, and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. Amp.

DEFINITIONS

Vindicate -d) to clear from criticism, suspicion, blame, etc.

David is having a hard time with his enemies. There is always judgment at the door for anyone who comes against one of God’s own. David keeps asking the Lord to vindicate him. There are times He lets us look guilty to the world. We know we are not. So, we can rest. It only matters what God thinks. He sees the intent of our heart and will judge righteously.

Where man on the other hand judges out of their own mind and heart. Whatever is in their heart will come out by their actions. Saul was jealous of David because the people sang about what a great warrior he was. The people did not sing about Saul, and it irritated him. He was the king of Israel, not David. He probably had a little pride.

David is asking the Lord to clear him from being blamed by his enemies. The Lord is good and on our side. He knows when we are hurting for serving Him. He knows also when we are hurting because of our own selfishness.

In the last days He will come with recompense. Men will reap what they have sown. What they have done will come back on them. If they have judged the righteous wrongly it will return upon their own head. We do not have to pray and ask the Lord to vindicate us. He already has it covered.

  1. Thanks for such a comforting reminder Wenda that as God’s children, he looks out for us and takes care of us. Sometimes, vengeance can seem slow, but it is sure, as God will arise and avenge his children. Bless you. ❤️💖🙏🏾
