  1. Here is a copy of Wenda’s Easter 1990 Post, from her other blog. Enjoy Friends🤩

    LUKE 24:6-7

    6. He is not here, but has risen? Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee,

    7. That the Son of man must be given over into the hands of sinful men (that is, men whose way or nature is to act in opposition to God), and be crucified, and on the third day rise from death.

Tam and I were talking last night about some of our loved ones that have passed away. She posted such a great post today about her brother with such a sweet picture that I got a similar idea for an Easter Post.

What does Easter really mean to you? Do you relive Good Friday, looking at the clock between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM? Are you hurting inside at what He went through for you? Do you think about what all He went through before He got to the cross. My Pastor preaches such great sermons about His true sufferings not many preachers preach. We play down His suffering which was really torture. My Pastor put it in my mind all last week. And that was right to do!

He is our Savior. There is no other. No one could endure the tremendous agony that He had to suffer physically and spiritually. We must face the obvious truth that He believed we were worth the price He had to pay for us. So, we have no right to believe the lies of the enemy telling us we are not worthy to praise Him or to come into His presence asking for help that we need to make it through our trials. He gave us that right. Are we going to make His suffering of no importance and not use it as we were meant to?

The picture I chose for this post was taken on Easter Sunday 1990 of My late husband Gary and I. There are so many memories I could share. This Easter (l990), he bought the girls and I Corsages to wear to Church. My youngest daughter Glory was 4 months old, and I put a pink ruffled dress on her and pinned the Corsage on her shoulder. Who does that? I am sure some were talking about me. It was the first Orchids we had ever had, and I was determined that we would wear them.

Gary was the best at buying us gifts. He loved to spoil us. And we loved him to do it. I should have taken a picture of the baby, but I didn’t for some reason. O how I wish I had. So many good memories at Easter time. What I miss the most is having Gary by my side with to worship the Lord.

There is a special bond between a husband and wife when you worship. We were one together and I know we felt God’s presence together. He would look at me just at the right time when the presence of God was so strong. It was so special.

When He died of a sudden heart attack, I felt God’s presence in such a special way. I knew Gary was standing before the Lord and it was so wonderful. It helped me through his death knowing that He was with Jesus and there was no reason to be sad. Although I would now have to learn how to live without him. That is always the hard part. But I have learned that Jesus is quite a wonderful Husband!

I would have had none of this to say without the cross. Thank you, Jesus, for giving all to us. There are no words worthy of the great price You paid for us. Help us Lord to be what You desire always giving glory to Your Name!

JOHN 17:22 I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one, even as We are one.

    1. You really are Miss Fixit! I never learned how to cut and paste. I tried to put a link on it but it did not work. I think I know why but still not sure. I just don’t do it enough. This is a new blunder for me. Always learning something.
I was going to get on here and wipe it out. I worried all day. The Lord told me “Are you done telling me what you are going to do?” So, I kind of shut up. He said everything was Okay. I just cried when I saw what all you had done. I will never forget this. I love you so much!😂🥰💐
