COLOSSIANS 3:15

15. And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts — deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds – in that peaceful state to which as members of Christ’s one body you were also called to live. And be thankful – appreciative, giving praise to God always. Amp.

DEFINITIONS

Peace -c) safe, rest, favor, well, quietness, happy, health welfare, prosperity.

We all have read this verse many times. Just think of how wonderful our lives would be if peace ruled in our heart. We would have no physical ailments. Peace would be in control. The heart rate and blood pressure would be at rest.

We would have no conflicts as we let Him be the umpire and take care of all. He is coming back for His people who are at peace and found by Him without spot or blemish.

2 PETER 3:14 So beloved, since you are expecting those things, be eager to be found by Him at His coming without spot or blemish, and at peace – in serene confidence, free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts. Amp.

Just in reading this scripture shows us how the Lord wants us to live and be ready when He comes back. We must examine ourselves continuously to see if we are at peace. We must make sure we have repented of any sins that try to linger. We need to be at rest and calmly approaching our day without fear. Faith is the opposite of fear. If we are trusting the Lord to guide us and protect us then we should not fear.

If we truly believe that He knows tomorrow and is already there making all things work for our good, then we have no reason to fear. We need to learn to not let things get to us and steal our peace. These are the moral conflicts Satan uses to hurt us.

If we are leaning on Jesus, we can learn to stop worrying and let peace rule our lives. Along with peace comes good health and prosperity. We are safe and happy. That sets the stage for a serene life.

With all the talk about the banks failing and the economy being at such risk, we need to have faith in the Lord’s protecting power. He says Babylon will fall. Its wealth will be wiped out. But His Mount Zion shall stand firm forever. We need not fear losing our prosperity if we are trusting in the Lord and are at peace. He will not fail us but will see us through while the world is falling apart.

  1. Peace which passes all understanding. His peace is a gift which he left for us. Thank you for this reminder Sister Wenda. I am living in, walking in and dwelling in peace and rest. 🙏🏾💗

  2. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [ 8persistence in] faith on the earth? (Lk 18:8) When The Lord returns, may He find us ‘Faith-full’ and fearless. In Jesus’ Name💕
