PSALM 149:1-4
- Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, praise Him in the assembly of His saints!
- Let Israel rejoice in Him, his Maker; let Zion’s children triumph and be joyful in their King!
- Let them praise His name in chorus and choir and with the (single or group) dance, let them sing praises to Him with the tambourine and lyre!
- For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation and adorn the wretched with victory.
We are commanded in the Psalms to Praise the Lord. The word Praise is in Psalms 145-150 – 51 times. Why so many times? The Lord is so good to us. He blesses us with songs to sing about His goodness and love. And while we are singing, we are blessed by Him. He is leading us into a place where He is. And He is ready to reveal Himself in a new and great way. He is always wanting to do good for His own.
He is telling us to honor Him with our songs and we will be blessed. He loves to hear us sing. He wants us to clap and get excited about Him. He wants us to dance. He created dancing. I wonder why? Our songs are to tell about His greatness and glorify Him. Many songs talk about man’s weakness and sins. They are good songs but not praise and worship songs.
When He says to Praise Him, that is what He means. I have had Church and Bible Studies in my house for over 40 years. I know what the Lord expects from me. He gives to you what you give to Him. When you honor Him with your Praise and Worship by putting Him first without delay, He honors the rest of the service with greater depth and anointing. If you waste time by talking too much the service suffers. I have experienced it. He wants first place and deserves respect.
If He came to your house or to your Church, how would you act? Would you change the way you do things? Well, He is coming to all of our services. He deserves our utmost attention. Many walk around talking and going to the bathroom. I know He expects me to have all of that done before it is time to Worship Him. That is what we would do if He was there, and He is. We are to teach our children to worship by the example we give them. We should have a set time at home to worship the Lord and all who know us should honor the Lord with us or leave. He deserves so much more!
PSALM 150:1 Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the heavens of His power.
2. Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to the abundance of His greatness.
Amen. Praise the Lord! Great word.

He says to enter His gates with Thanksgiving and enter His courts with praise! When you come to Him with your praise, that is when you feel Him and that is so wonderful. So not only is He loving your praises, He is loving you back and that is one of the most wonderful things in the world.
