PSALM 29:4
4. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
The footnote in the Amplified says this is, “The Song of the Thunderstorm,” sung during an earth-shaking tempest. It is the voice of the Lord that is causing the shaking. In the last days it is recorded a shaking to occur. How we respond to that shaking is life or death.
JOEL 3:16
16. The Lord will thunder and roar from Zion and utter His voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth shall shake; but the Lord will be a refuge for His people and a stronghold to the children of Israel.
HAGGAI 2:6
6. For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake and make tremble the starry heavens, the earth, and the sea, and the dry land.
He is going to shake the heavens and the earth. We see the earthquake and volcanic activity on the rise. Now with the Sun being in a solar cycle, He seems to be shaking the heavens with a big solar storm on the sun that it launched a tsunami of plasma into the sun’s atmosphere just recently. This was from a major X2.2-class solar flare.
The big Earthquake in Turkey was just followed up with another one. That just stopped them from finding others who were buried in the first one. The death toll has risen to close to 47,000.
How do we prepare for these voices from the Lord that are shaking the heavens and the earth? In verse 2 it says we are to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness or in holy array. We are to be clothed in holiness not just appropriate clothes but the spiritual clothing of the Holy Spirit.
We must reverence the Lord by serving Him or doing homage. We all serve somebody. Whose will do you do? Either we serve the Lord, the devil another person or ourselves.
ROMANS 6:16
16. Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to anyone to do his will, you are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness, right standing with God?
We must be careful whom we obey, or we can become enslaved in a yoke of disobedience. But as we turn our obedience back to the Lord, we will become stronger and stronger.
ROMANS 6:18-19
18. And, having been set free from sin you have become the servants of righteousness of conformity to the divine will in thought, purpose and action.
19. …For as you yielded your bodily members (and faculties) as servants to impurity and ever-increasing lawlessness, so now yield your bodily members and faculties once for all as servants to righteousness – right being and doing – which leads to sanctification.
We must slow down and take a look at the actions and purposes of what we pursue. He wants His thoughts to be our thoughts and His purpose to be ours. It is important what we give our eyes and ears to. We can get used to putting in our prayer and reading time and think that is enough using the rest of the day for our own purpose and desire. Then we are using our faculties for our own purpose. When we use what belongs to God for our own purposes that is sacrilege. That is the abomination of desolation and robbing the temple, Romans 2:22.
We must seek the Lord daily and learn His voice. He will speak to an obedient heart. It is the Eli’s that He has stopped speaking to. He knows we need direction and is more than willing to show us the way to find His purpose for our life.
PSALM 29:11
11. The Lord will give unyielding and impenetrable strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.
The strength that we need He has supplied for us. Nothing can stop us if we desire Him with all of our heart, mind and strength.
Amen ππΎ. I know that we are expecting a shaking in this year. The churches will also be shaken as judgement begins in the house of God. God is raising up a remnant as some old tares will be shaken out of place. God is shaking structure, organisations and leadership. Itβs coming Wenda! ππΎβ€οΈππ
