11. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. KJV
DEFINITIONS
Testimony -d) a statement made to establish a fact; any form of evidence; any affirmation or declaration.
How do we defeat the devil? This scripture is telling us that we must cover the situation and ourselves in the Blood of Jesus. This is of course spiritual. However, we must have true faith in the blood of Jesus and its power. We must apply it spiritually in faith believing for the outcome to be victorious.
What is the word of our testimony? I believe this to be the stories that we all have of the deliverances He has done for us. These are so important to us personally. We should keep a record of them, so we do not forget them. These are powerful tools of faith that sometimes are stolen by the enemy.
It is like David when he went up against Goliath and said he killed both a bear and a lion with the help of the Lord and that gave him faith. We too must remember the battles we have been through and what the Lord has done for us, then we will be able to stand and win.
The last part of the verse in the Amplified reads, “for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death – holding their lives cheap till they had to die (for their witnessing).”
So many times, Christians run to the doctors and want a clean bill of health. They will usually do whatever the Doctor tells them to do to not face death. Is that what the scripture says? It says they did not cling to life even if they had to die for their witnessing.
I love to tell this story. My spiritual daughter, Cheryl was diagnosed with Cancer, and she was scheduled for a Hysterectomy. She also had an aneurism behind her eye. They said if it popped, she could go blind, but it would not kill her. She was in danger of the procedure bringing damage to the aneurism, but they were going on with the surgery anyway.
She was listening to Phil Driscoll on a Walkman and was close to the Lord praying the whole time. She started noticing the number 6 everywhere. It was on her door and her patient number. We always pay attention to the numbers in our life as being the Lord speaking to us, so Cheryl got up and left without the surgery.
She walked a year with cancer but trusting in the Lord. After a year she went back, and tests revealed she was cancer and aneurism free. That is what happens when you overcome the devil and you do not cling to life when face with death. She knew from how He has always taken care of her that He always will. That is faith. That is my Cheryl!
1 PETER 2:24
24. He personally bore our sins in His own body to the tree (as to an altar and offered Himself on it, that we might die cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.
This is past tense. He has already done it. It is up to us to believe it and receive it.

Great and powerful devotional.
Yesterday I was sharing how I got a revelation early this year to buy a book that I will capture all the testimonies and this is my confirmation to do it speedily.
So I will buy the book today and you know one of the testimony is there a lady in the USA who gave me access to the Microsoft 365 package_😜🙏🤣.
I will write that down, it is one of the testimonies I already received

Purchase a note book and record all the good things God has already started doing. The written one has its own purpose hahaha.
This one is to softern my heart when I feel like God is not coming through for me.
I will just look at the book and break it into praise songs.
Aaah that lady prefers to remain anonymous and God who watches in secret is blessing her for that🙏🙏🙏🤣🤣🤣

Yes, I have been writing in my notebook for years. I have stacks of them. The one I am using now is almost full. I write the scriptures He gives me every day and what He tells me. I underline the important parts with a marker. I circle the revelations. I think it is so important to do this. I keep records of the rainbows and pretty clouds He paints in the sky that mean so much to me.
And I would love to hear you break out in those praise songs! 🎵🎺💃🤣😂

It truly is a blessing and testimony of what He has done for me. He has always brought me through rough times in my life and if it weren’t for Him, I wouldn’t be here today. I thank Him every day for the healing and blessings that He has given me. I may be your Cheryl, but you are my Wenda and a blessing to me.

How many times have you said to me, “He has always taken care of me?” And He has and always will. I know how much He loves you, because He has put some of that love in my heart for you.

Mark 5:19-20
