ZECHARIAH 2:4-5
4. …Jerusalem shall be inhabited and dwell as villages without walls, because of the multitude of people and livestock in it.
5. For I, says the Lord, will be to her a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her.
I have read this many times and always thought of it in the present day. Now I believe This is the Millennial Reign. They dwell without walls. Ezekiel 38:14 says, “In that day when My people Israel dwell securely,” They will dwell securely when He comes back. Israel will be at rest from her enemies. She will have unwalled villages because of the multitude of them. And He will dwell in their midst and actually be a wall of fire round about them.
EZEKIEL 38:16 And you shall come up against My people Israel like a cloud to cover the land. In the latter days I will bring you against My land, that the nations may know, understand and realize Me, when My holiness shall be vindicated through you — vindicated and honored (in your overwhelming destruction) — O Gog, before their eyes.
He is protecting the Beloved City, The New Jerusalem where He dwells. He says He will be a wall of fire round about and the glory in the midst of her. Glory means splendor and abundance. To dwell with the Lord will be so unbelievable. The abundance of all He is, will be present among them. He will be greatly honored in their midst, so that they will be honored.
I believe that they forget how strong He can be. The Lord brings this awesome vindication in their midst so they will never forget how mighty He is.
ZECHARIAH 2:13
13. Be still, all flesh, before the Lord; for He is aroused and risen from His holy habitation. Amp.
