Geomagnetic Storm Update

It was reported that 11 Sunspots were on the Sun at the same time. AR 3165 gave off 8 solar flares 12-14-22 that were currently facing our planet. They were all Class M which is moderate intensity. Class X are the most powerful flares.
Solar Flare – a burst of electromagnetic radiation that emanates from regions of strong magnetic fields on the solar surface. They are called sunspots and can remain dormant or burst open releasing intense amounts of radiation and energy. They travel at the speed of light and reach earth almost immediately after they are released.
The outburst can include particulate matter from the sun referred to as a Coronal Mass Ejection, (CME) which takes up to 3 days to get to earth.
These can cause radio blackouts and affect satellites and spacecraft. They bring radiation particles into our atmosphere in amounts that they have no way of really knowing.

SOLAR CYCLE UPDATE – AN EXTENDED SOLAR CYCLE
A new study is showing the previous prediction of an 11-year solar cycle is becoming a 17-year cycle. After reading some confusing data, I have concluded that they have no clue what is going on. All they know is there is more activity than they can understand. Could this be a sign of the times?
