PSALM 121:1-3

  1. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help?
  2. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
  3. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. KJW

We can look up and see where our help is. We know He is looking down always watching our way. He knows what is before us and what is behind us. He knows what is coming and is ready with every answer we need. His eyes never shut. Nothing can get past Him. He is always awake. Never leaves His post to take a break. He is always there.

That is perfect help. If He is so precise as to not let our foot be moved, will He not keep us from falling? He knows all about us. He knows what we need more than we do.

If we lived with this knowing in our hearts, then we should never fear. He won’t even let our foot move unless it is right for us. The key to this protection is in looking up unto the hills. If we look to Him, He will never fail us. We must learn how to put ourselves into His keeping. He must be our refuge and help.

We can’t say we look to Him and then go off to find help elsewhere and think He is not aware of our actions. He is worthy of all our trust.

PSALM 33:20

20. Our inner selves wait (earnestly) for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.
