ISAIAH 12:2-3

2. Behold God, my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and song: yes, He has become my salvation.

3. Therefore, with joy will you draw water from the wells of salvation. Amp.

Salvation -c) “Yeshua” – deliverance, healer, save, victory, safety, rescue, make whole, preserved, liberty, prosperity, welfare, protection.

Wells -c) fountain, a source, spring; an eye.

We all basically think of the word salvation meaning to be saved. It does mean to be saved but it has so much more meaning. Yeshua is the Hebrew word for salvation which is another name for Jesus or Jehovah. And we have so many ways to express the meaning of our Savior. He is definitely all the words in the definition of salvation and so much more!

JOHN 4:14

14. But whosoever drinketh of the water I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. KJV

We are talking about the thirst of the soul. The flesh has its own needs. Without water you can live about 3 days, maybe more if on a fast and the Lord enables you. But the body cannot survive without water for long.

Our soul has been created with a need for the spiritual water that comes only from Jesus. We have a longing that nothing but Jesus can fulfill. He is that well of salvation that we must come to with our spiritual buckets of human need. Nothing else will satisfy our soul but Jesus.

We need Jesus and all that He is, His love, His mercy, His cross, His grace, His forgiveness, His Word, His Presence, His songs, His Holy Spirit, His glory, His voice, His saving power and His matchless unbroken comforting communion. (Only to mention a few).

This world has many wells that we can dip into that will temporarily bring worldly satisfaction. The media has answers for everything. You can get lost in them and spend hours wasting valuable time without quenching your thirst.

We have our own wells of self that we can drink from. They can be well of fear, depression, sadness, unbelief, despair, doubt and confusion. When we look to ourselves, we are leaning on our own understanding which is the flesh and not the Holy Spirit and will always lead away from the Lord.

The Lord’s wells of salvation lead to eternal life and are never ending. With joy we can drink and never be thirsty again. He is more than all we will ever need. There is truly none like Him.

PSALM 145:19

19. He will fulfill the desire of those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, He will also hear their cry, and will save them. Amp.
