“BLESS THE LORD” DAY OF THE LORD NOVEMBER 26, 2022

PSALM 103:5

5. Who satisfies your mouth (your necessity and desire at your personal age) with good; so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s (strong, overcoming and soaring)! Amp.

DEFINITIONS

Satisfies -c) fill to satisfaction, have enough, be to the full, have plenty.

Mouth -c) trappings, finery, an outfit, excellent, ornament.

Renewed -c) to be new, repair, rebuild, renew.

Psalm 103 is filled with many reasons we have to bless the Lord. Many songs are sung from this beautiful Psalm. David writes many wonderful blessings beginning with being forgiven our iniquities. He redeems us from the pit of corruption and crowns us with His mercy and loving kindness.

Verse 5 says He satisfies our mouth with good. We know in Romans 8:28 that He causes all things to work for our good. What is He saying in verse 5? Our mouth is a symbol of our necessity, not just being food but clothing also. Always supplying us with good.

The Hebrew definition for mouth actually means an outfit and finery. It also means trappings. Back then they felt blessed if they caught an animal for food and for clothing. How gross that is to me. But to them, it was a blessing. Today I am thankful for Amazon. So many blessings at our fingertips.

Then we are given a youthful renewal. The Hebrew word for renewed is to renew, rebuild and repair. He gives us new strength that is strong, overcoming and soaring like the eagle!

There are many times in scripture where He speaks of rebuilding and raising up the ruins, Isaiah 61:4, Isaiah 44:26, Amos 9:11. The Lord never forgets the lost. The last days harvest will be filled with renewal and repairing of the lost and broken House of Israel.

ISAIAH 35:3-4

3. Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble and tottering knees.

4. Say to those who are of a fearful and hasty heart, Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompence of God; He will come and save you.

The Lord will do a special work in the last days. We will see glorious manifestations of the Spirit as He moves through His people. His outpouring will be His special New Wine that He has saved for the end.
