“FAMINE” DAY OF THE LORD – NOVEMBER 20, 2022

AMOS 4:7

7. And also, I withheld the rain from you when there were yet three months to the harvest. I caused it to rain upon one city; one piece of ground was rained upon, and the piece upon which it did not rain withered. Amp.

The pictures are of the Mississippi River. They have uncovered sunken ships.

The Mississippi River is still in drought, with no end in sight. The historically low levels in the busy waterway are disrupting transportation, recreation, and even quality water along the river.

Barges are getting stuck and have to carry 20% less cargo. Saltwater is getting into the drinking water in some areas because of low levels. Some marinas have boats setting in the mud.

There are intense drought conditions worldwide.

NILE IS IN MORTAL DANGER

The pharaohs worshipped it as a god, the eternal bringer of life. But the clock is ticking on the Nile. Climate change, pollution and exploitation by man are putting existential pressure on the world’s second longest river, on which half a billion people depend for survival.

What was once a breadbasket has become the third most vulnerable place on the planet to climate change. Lake Victoria the Nile’s biggest source of water after rainfall, could also dry up due to drought, evaporation and slow tilts in the earth’s axis. With such grim scenarios in store, governments have scrambled to capture its flow. But experts say dams are only hastening the coming catastrophe.

MATTHEW 24:7

7. For nation will arise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place.

The reports of 2 of the most important rivers are unprecedented. We know we are in the last days because of the earthquake and volcanic activity. Now we have droughts that have come on the scene. These droughts will cause famine.

I believe we are still seeing the 2nd Seal and the 2nd Horse which symbolizes fear. We have seen fear spread with the threat of radical Islamist with their sword. We have seen fear spread throughout the world with threats of disease and the pandemic.

The next is the 3rd Seal or 3rd Horse which uses a balance to symbolize famine. There is no way to prepare for famine except having a rich relationship with Jesus. That is the only safe place in any famine.

REVELATION 6:6

6. …but do not harm the oil and the wine!

The oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. The wine is a symbol of the blood of Jesus, Matt.26:28. We must be appropriating the Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus in our life all the time, or we may not be safe. Famine is coming and we must be prepared spiritually.

PSALM 33:18-19

18. Behold, the Lord’s eye is upon those who fear him – who revere and worship Him with awe, who wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness,

19. To deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. Amp.
