JUDE 20-21
20. But you, beloved, build yourselves up (founded) on your most holy faith – make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher-praying in the Holy Spirit;
21. Guard and keep yourselves in the love of God; expect and patiently wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah, (which will bring you) unto life eternal. Amp.
When we seek the Lord, it is as we are on His holy mountain. We start out at the bottom and begin to climb. Each trial we encounter is a climb up. We take many small journeys up. Some are more treacherous than others. But as we climb, we rise higher and higher coming closer to the top where God is.
The love of God is the most wonderful thing He has for us. We are motivated by that love to suffer things and endure things for Him and for others. We are to always have faith that God loves us no matter what. That faith and love will keep us in His love always believing that He loves us. That is a safe place.
11 CORINTHIANS 3:18
18. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. KJV
I believe as we climb His mountain we reach each summit and we can see a little more. We are changed a little more. Then we start again up higher enduring another trial. We grow more and more like Jesus. And as we climb we see Him a little clearer than before. When we reach the top we will see Him face to face.
Then we will see how each pain and hardship was well worth the climb. The Joy we will receive will be unspeakable.
EPHESIANS 3:19-20
19. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20. Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. KJV
It is by His power that we allow to work within us. We must take His hand and let Him lead up that hard climb knowing that though it be rough we are in the best of care. We will come out on top with Jesus. How is there anything better?
