JOEL 2:11
11. And the Lord shall utter His voice before His army: for His camp is very great: for He is strong that executeth His Word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; who can abide it? KJV
The Day of the Lord comes with recompense. It is great for those who receive a reward. It is terrible for those who receive judgment. He will utter His voice and we will be changed.
1 CORINTHIANS 15:52
52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, the last trump: for the trump shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. KJV
We all have been taught that this is the rapture of the Church. The scripture says that we are to put on incorruption. As we do this, death is defeated. I believe this is in the process of happening. We are actually resisting death when we come into Gods presence. Every time we turn away from sin we become more incorrupt.
One day the Lord will utter His voice and say, “Arise and come forth.” Just as Lazarus came out of the tomb, we will come out of our tombs of sin and death. We will arise to meet Him in the clouds and forever be with Him.
We will be part of that great Army that will be dressed in white linen and will fight till the end. We too are called to leave our homes and die to things of this world, making the sacrifice to win the ultimate battle.
As we celebrate Veterans Day, we can be a part of the everlasting Army and partake of the sacrifice they have made to keep America free. We are called to fight to make our people free.
