PSALM 112:7

7. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firmly fixed, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord. Amp.

Psalm 112 is about blessings to the one who fears and worships the Lord and not only obeys but delights in His commandments. It goes on to say his offspring shall be a mighty one upon the earth. He will not only have them in heaven but on the earth.

Verse 4 says Light arises in darkness for the upright. Even the upright who are in right standing with God have their times of darkness. But they are never alone. The Lord is right there with them and waiting to lift them out of it once their lesson is learned. What is the lesson?

We must constantly be learning to keep our spiritual eyes on the Lord and off the circumstances in our life. We must not focus on our own abilities or weaknesses. We must learn to recognize the enemies lies that He is trying to get us to believe.

The only way to learn this is to be faced with overwhelming circumstances. It will cause us to exercise His power within teaching us to walk in this power. We must walk in the authority and dominion we have been given. We have to learn how to focus on the positive things in God’s Word instead of the negative things in our life that Satan tries to throw at us.

The Lord allows us to fight on our own and then lifts us out of the battle and into His light and we learn the difference. He knows how to open our eyes. This is what faith is all about. It is about how we see things.

  1. Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things we hope for, being the proof of things, we do not see and conviction of their reality — faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses. Amp.

The Lord wants us to believe in what we cannot see about ourselves and our life. He wants us to believe what He sees about us and our life. Then we will not be afraid of evil tidings, but we will know the Lord will do what He has promised, and we are safe. That is faith that is pleasing to Him.

  1. I am holding spiritual title to many things that I am hoping for, and surely God will cause these things to manifest in my life, if I hold fast to the faith and refuse to faint!! 💕
