“HIS ABUNDANT GLORY” DAY OF THE LORD – OCTOBER 20, 2022

ISAIAH 60:1-2

1. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee. KJV.

DEFINITIONS

Darkness c-) misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness, withholding the light, hide.

Light -c) Happiness, bright, clear, morning, sun, illuminous.

Illuminate -d) to give light to, to make clear, explain, to inform, enlighten.

Glory -c) splendor or copiousness, honor.

Copiousness -d) abundance.

Forces -c) an army, wealth, virtue, valor, strength, able, host, might, power, goods, riches, brave, courageous, fearlessness, general moral excellence, goodness of character.

The Lord will do a perfect work in His overcoming bride. They will rise up with strength anew filled with His goodness and might. They are coming out of the refining fires of persecution and the blast of sifting to perfect them for His return. Now He will pour upon them His abundant glory that will shine with His Spirit.

Isaiah 60:5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. KJV.

The Hebrew word for forces is the same word for virtuous. The Lord will take blessings from certain ones whom He is judging and are in darkness and He will give them to His elect who have been through the fire. They are no longer enticed by the riches of this world. He gives them the true spiritual riches that will see them through to the end like fearlessness along with wealth and goods of this world. They will be over abundantly blessed in every way.

They will arise with the strength of God with His general moral excellence. This is the light that will shine forth. It will not be a physical light. All of the goodness of Jesus will cause them to stand out and all will know they have been with the Lord. Their words will enlighten and teach, explaining mysteries that have been hidden till now.

These are the reapers of the last days harvest whose words will get down to where the sheep live and illuminate their heart with His light. Revival will come and it will be a glorious day for His people, while the wicked are running into the holes of the earth to get away from Him. He is withholding the light from them, and they hide.

Isaiah 60:21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified. KJV
